The Academic Council of Yerevan Gladzor University (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) is a governing body, chaired by the Rector that coordinates the University’s academic, scientific, scientific and technical activities. Its operations are regulated by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, YGU’s Charter, internal regulations, as well as other governing normative acts. The Council addresses issues related to the organization of educational and methodological, scientific and research activities, as well as the organizational work of YGU’s structural units.

The Rectorate of Yerevan Gladzor University serves as an advisory body attached to the Rector, which, during the intervals between sessions of the Academic Council, discusses issues related to the University’s areas of activity and submits consultative proposals to the Rector. The nominal composition of the Rectorate is approved by the Rector. Specialists from outside the University with specific expertise in relevant fields may also be invited by the Rector to participate in the Rectorate meetings.
The Regulations define the role, significance, authority, and responsibilities of the Rectorate within the University’s governance system. The Regulations are adopted and amended by the Academic Council of Yerevan Gladzor University.
The Rectorate is an advisory body that ensures the smooth functioning of the University between the sessions of the Academic Council and addresses ongoing administrative, academic, and operational matters.
The Rectorate Members Include:
Additional staff members or subdivisions heads may be invited to participate when relevant agenda items are discussed.
The Chairperson of the Rectorate is the Rector.
Rectorate meetings are convened once a month. Additional meetings may be held at the request of the Rectorate members.
The issues to be addressed at Rectorate meetings are planned at the beginning of each academic year. Urgent matters are discussed during extraordinary sessions.
