AND. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1. The Regulations define the place, role, significance and competence of the Rectorate in the management system of Gladzor University of Yerevan.
2. The Regulations are adopted and amended by the Scientific Council of the University of Yerevan “Gladzor”.
3. The Rectorate is a consultative body that ensures the current and normal functioning of the University and operates in the period between sessions of the Scientific Council.
4. The composition of the Rectorate includes: the Rector, Vice-Rectors, the Scientific Secretary, the Heads of the Department, the Head of the Academic Section, the Heads of the Centers/Departments, the President of the Student Council, the Chief Accountant. Heads of departments and staff members related to the issues under discussion are invited to the meetings of the Rectorate, if necessary.
5. The President of the Rectorate is the Rector.
6. Rector's sessions are convened once a month. Additional sessions may be convened at the request of the members of the Rectorate.
7. The issues to be discussed at the rectorate sessions are planned at the beginning of each academic year. The discussion of urgent issues is held in an extraordinary session.

II. COMPETENCE OF THE RECTORY

The Rector's Office discusses and makes proposals:

1. On issues related to the organization and improvement of the educational process.
2. On issues of making structural changes.
3. On the organization and conduct of graduation, current and entrance exams.
4. With questions about the formation or termination of new professions.
5. On the issues of job changes.
6. On the issues of organizing and conducting conferences and seminars.
7. On the issues of participation in grant programs and selection of topics.
8. On issues of mobility of students and lecturers.
9. In matters of capital and current repairs.
10. On the issues of improving the quality of education.
11. In matters of cooperation with other universities.
12. On the issues of awarding the Memorial Medal of “Gladzor” University of Yerevan.
13. On issues of removal and rehabilitation of students.
14. On the issues of defining and changing the amount of tuition fees.
15. Approves the work procedure of the Rectorate.

III. ՌԵԿՏՈՐԱՏԻ ԱՇԽԱՏԱԿԱՐԳԸ

1. The rector chairs the sessions of the Rectorate.
2. The rector opens the meeting and announces the agenda.
3. The Rectorate approves the agenda and determines the sequence and procedure for the discussion of the issues on the agenda.
4. The Rector's Office shall take decisions on the issues discussed by a simple majority of votes, by an open vote.
5. Rectorate sessions are recorded. The management of the protocol is organized by the assistant rector, who is also the secretary of the rectory.

IV. PRESIDENT OF THE RECTORATE

1. Conducts the sessions of the rectorate.
2. Approves the minutes of the rectorate's sessions.
3. Supervises the implementation of the decisions taken.
4. It shall convene extraordinary sessions on its own initiative or at the request of the members of the Rectorate.

V. SECRETARY OF THE RECTORATE

1. Draws up a draft of the work program of the Rectorate and submits it for approval.
2. Informs the members of the rectory about the sessions.
3. Follows the process of execution of the decisions taken.
4. Draws up and signs the protocol of the rectory.
5. Ensures the availability of the necessary materials on the issues under discussion.

VI. DECISIONS OF THE RECTORATE

1. The decisions of the Rectorate are advisory in nature and can be adopted by the Rector
   on the basis of decisions and orders.
