Student Life

Valuing education and academic achievement, students at Yerevan Gladzor University lead a vibrant student life. They actively participate in various youth clubs — including literature enthusiasts, diplomats, linguists, cinema lovers, and others—as well as student organizations and non-governmental organizations. Students demonstrate active engagement in social life by attending youth events, conferences, and seminars. YGU students also take part in cultural activities, contributing to the University's dynamic and inclusive academic environment.

Forensic Training and Expertise Centre‍

The Forensic Training and Expertise Centre is a unique institution within the republic, distinguished by its scope and capabilities. Its primary objective isto develop students’ practical skills and competencies, while also establishing foundations for national cooperation among the University, other educational institutions, research centres, and entities within the business and scientific sectors. The Centre comprises a forensic study room, an adjacent specialized local library, laboratories equipped for fingerprint analysis, traceology, handwriting examinations/expertise, financial, economic and forensic accounting examination/expertise, as well as computer-technical laboratories. Equipped with state-of-the-art technical and laboratory facilities, the Centre ensures the delivery of up-to-date knowledge to students. The establishment of the Centre marks a significant advancement in the teaching of “Forensic Science (Criminalistics)” and related courses, ensuring a practical orientation and a strong link between theoretical knowledge and practice. During the Centre’s operation, Yerevan Gladzor University has fostered collaboration with both higher education institutions and vocational education institutions across the Republic. Students and faculty members of law programs from various universities are granted free access to the forensic study room and laboratory facilities to carry out joint projects and conduct practical training.

Courtroom

Yerevan Gladzor University hosts a courtroom—the second of its kind within Armenia’s higher education system. The courtroom is designed to provide students with the opportunity to organize program-related discussions and activities at a professional standard, conduct mock trials and moot courts, apply theoretical knowledge practically, and acquire skills in trial organization and management under appropriate conditions. This facility serves as a foundation for future legal practice.

Dental Clinic

Yerevan Gladzor University operates the Unident Dental Clinic, equipped with the latest generation of dental equipment and materials. Serving as a teaching support facility for students enrolled in the “Dentistry” program, it enables them to combine theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice. The Clinic employs highly qualified specialists, who also serve as faculty members at YGU. The Clinic provides services to both students and staff.

Simulation Classroom

Within the educational process of the specialties of “General Medicine” and “Dentistry,” the Simulation Classroom equipped with essential tools offers an optimal environment to apply theoretical knowledge practically. The presence of the simulation centre allows students to develop practical skills and minimizes the occurrence of medical errors during their professional activities.

Medical Laboratories

In parallel with the implementation of “General Medicine” and “Dentistry” programs, Yerevan Gladzor University has established classrooms and laboratories of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, bacteriology and histology. Their purpose is to facilitate the practical application of theoretical knowledge. Equipped with laboratory instruments, anatomical models, microbiological apparatus, microscopes, bones, skeletons, and other materials and devices, these laboratories support comprehensive theoretical and practical courses. The use of modern equipment, leading guides, and high-quality materials provides both Armenian and international students the opportunity to master professional knowledge in practice during their studies.

Conference Hall

Yerevan Gladzor University features a fully equipped Conference Hall designed to host conferences, consultations, seminars, trainings, and other academic or professional meetings. The Hall accommodates up to 60 participants and is furnished with state-of-the-art technical and communication equipment. It includes audiovisual systems to support presentations and speeches, a simultaneous interpretation booth with translation equipment, and a full set of microphones. The facility serves as a venue for the University events and is also available for rent to external organizations.

Assembly Hall

The Assembly Hall, with a seating capacity of over 300, is intended for conferences, student events, and graduation ceremonies. Throughout the University’s history, the Hall has hosted a variety of events, including inter-university academic competitions, film screenings and discussions, anniversary celebrations, and more.

 Smart Room

As a result of collaboration with Viva Cell MTS CJSC, Smart Room has been functioning at Yerevan Gladzor University since 2012. Here students are provided with computers, a touch-screen board and an overhead projector. Both theoretical and practical courses can be conducted in Smart Room.

Electronic Library and Computer Labs

The Electronic Library and Computer Labs provide students with opportunities to develop computer skills and study academic subjects using up-to-date computers, overhead projectors, and other supplementary devices. The latest generation of computers in the Computer Labs are connected to an internal network, allowing instructors to demonstrate and explain materials individually to students as needed.

Library

The University Library was established in 1990, the very year YGU was founded. The library's collection, comprising approximately 15,000 volumes, is continuously expanded with specialized and literary works in Armenian and foreign languages, as well as scientific publications. The collection is further enhanced through donations from various authors. The library collaborates with the National Library of Armenia, as well as with numerous city and educational institution libraries across the Republic.

Gym

Yerevan Gladzor University possesses a modern gym equipped with up-to-date exercise equipment, where aerobic and physical education classes are conducted. These activities positively contribute to enhancing students’ overall academic performance. Additionally, students have access to an outdoor volleyball court.
