The Forensic Training and Expertise Centre is a unique institution within the republic, distinguished by its scope and capabilities. Its primary objective isto develop students’ practical skills and competencies, while also establishing foundations for national cooperation among the University, other educational institutions, research centres, and entities within the business and scientific sectors. The Centre comprises a
forensic study room, an adjacent specialized local library, laboratories equipped for fingerprint analysis, traceology, handwriting examinations/expertise, financial, economic and forensic accounting examination/expertise, as well as computer-technical laboratories. Equipped with state-of-the-art technical and laboratory facilities, the Centre ensures the delivery of up-to-date knowledge to students. The establishment of the Centre marks a significant advancement in the teaching of “Forensic Science (Criminalistics)” and related courses, ensuring a practical orientation and a strong link between theoretical knowledge and practice. During the Centre’s operation, Yerevan Gladzor University has fostered collaboration with both higher education institutions and vocational education institutions across the Republic. Students and faculty members of law programs from various universities are granted free access to the forensic study room and laboratory facilities to carry out joint projects and conduct practical training.
