Daniel Zhora Jhangiryan

Vice-Rector for Economic Affairs

Daniel Jhangiryan, one of the co-founders of YGU, was born in 1973 in Yerevan. After graduating from secondary school, he studied at the Faculty of General Economics of the Institute of National Economy (currently Armenian State University of Economics) from 1990 to 1995. Upon completion of postgraduate studies at the same institution, he defended his PhD thesis in 1999, earning a PhD in Economics.  He holds the academic title of Associate Professor.

Since the foundation of Yerevan Gladzor University, he has been teaching at the University and currently serves as Vice-Rector for Economic Affairs.

In 2009, he participated in the U.S. State Department’s International Visitors Program, studying the American education system.

In 2013, he was sent on an academic assignment to the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Amsterdam to study best practices in educational programs and academic processes. He has also participated in professional development courses in Moscow focused on education quality assurance and enhancement in education, as well as in seminars such as “Tempus and Erasmus Mundus: Opportunities for the Eastern Partnership”. Additionally, he completed trainings in neuro-linguistic programming organized by the Association of Interregional Centres, earning a qualification as a specialist in neuro-linguistic programming. He is the author of a monograph, several academic textbooks, and numerous scholarly articles.

In 2010, he was awarded by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia for his contributions to the field of education. He teaches the courses “Fundamentals of Business Etiquette”, “Banks and Banking” and “Bank Marketing”.
